FUNERAL MARKS PASSING OF AGED PIONEER
ATWOOD, Dec 23. - Funeral services for Mrs. Vicenta De Los Reyes, 95 years of age, tomorrow morning will mark the passing of one of Southern California's picturesque pioneers whose memory went back to the days of the Dons.
Mrs. De Los Reyes came to California in 1848, the year Mexico relinquished title to California, settling at the great adobe hacienda of the Yorbas, located in the lower ranches of the Santa Ana Canyon.
Since that date she has witnessed the transformation of the area from the adobe of a care-free people of the ranchos to one of teeming energy. The 100-room Yorba hacienda she has seen crumble to dust.
Funeral services will be conducted from the ancient hacienda church at Yorba, where Mrs. De Los Reyes attended worship when a girl. Requiem high mass is to be sung at 9:30.
