One handwritten entry by someone writing as if she were Paul: My father married again on Sept. 12, 1925. Her name was Lillian Gertrude Talbott. I called her Goo Coo as I could not say Gertrude.

A newspaper article follows: REVEAL-TALBOTT
A marriage license was granted in Parls this afternoon to Mr. Clyde C. Reveal, 23 years old, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Reveal of Lexington, and Miss Lillian Gertrude Talbott, 21 years of age, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. T. C. Talbott of Lexington. Mr. Reveal gave his occupation as a contractor.

An additional newspaper article reads:

Mrs. George B. Douglas, of 628 Sayre avenue, entertained with miscellaneous shower at her home from 3 to 5 o'clock Saturday afternoon for her sister, Mrs. Clyde C. Reveal, fomerly Miss Gertrude Talbott. The home was beautifully decorated with pink and white garden flowers. Mrs. Reveal was gowned in pencil blue brocaded velvet, and Mrs. Douglas wore an orchid georgette over yellow satin.

In the receiving line were Mrs. Douglas, Mrs. Reveal, Mrs. J. M. Reveal, Miss Ula Reveal and Mrs. T. C. Talbott. Mrs. Douglas was assisted in entertaining by her sister, Mrs. W. H. Nugent.

Refreshments were in pink and white, carrying out the color scheme. Many beautiful and useful gifts were presented Mrs. Reveal in a pink and white basket carried by MIss Bud Boatright, and Miss Mary Nugent. Forty guests registered in "The Bride's Own Book." Newspaper and date not noted.

Listed in this baby book are the following names:
Aunt Eula, Dr. L. C. Redmon, Beth Ogg of Berea, KY, Elva Montgomery, Aunt Nell Montgomery, Aunt Fanny, Aunt Lucile and Uncle Stokley, Mother Reveal, Aunt Frances, Aunt Flo, Aunt Daphne, second cousin Wanda Chamberlin and first cousin Mary Rion.

There is a notation, "Had my mother lived, my mother and father would have been married 1 year December 20, 1923.

As to his name: "My first name, Paul, was chosen by my mother. It was simply her favorite name, as none of my relatives were named Paul. My middle name, Blaine, was chosen by my father. It is the name of his best boy chum, Blaine Nickell. If I had been a girl, my name would be Pauline."
