Lynda Dorman Redus passed suddenly into the arms of our Lord on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at the age of 63. Lynda was born in Arkansas City, Kansas on September 23, 1949. She moved with her parents to San Antonio when she was an infant and spent the remainder of her life here. She was preceded in death by her parents, WC (Bill) Dorman and Earlene Dorman-Cooper. She is survived by her sons, Jerry Redus and Edward Steele; sister, Barbara (Jack) Whitworth; grandsons, Joshua, Tim and Matthew Redus; as well as numerous friends and clients who cared deeply for her.
Lynda accepted Jesus Christ as her savior and was baptized in 1957. The Lord lived in her heart and she was quick to share how His power, mercy and grace blessed her life. She had a heart as big as the ocean and she would give her last dollar to a stranger in need. Lynda developed an interest in hypnosis in the early 1980s that stayed with her through the remainder of her life. She read everything she could read on the subject and discovered she could help others with what she learned. She taught classes in self hypnosis and was sought by medical professionals and interviewed for articles in the SA Express as well as numerous other publications over the years. Lynda will always be remembered for her generosity and sense of humor. A service will be held in celebration of her life at 11:00am on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Trinity Baptist Church, (210- 733-6201) 319 E. Mulberry, San Antonio, TX 78212 with Pastor Martha Fisher of Community Bible Church officiating. To leave a note for the family, please visit meadowlawn.net
