In what state are you looking for information ? The William Quinn I know of is
from Georgia and he was a scout during the
War of 1812. He received a passport from the
governor of Georgia to travel into the Creek
Indian lands prior to the secession of the
Indian lands by the U.S. Government. The creeks were very aggressive and were in battles all during this time period. William was a scout for the American Army and he is
written about in history books, mostly logs and journals kept by superior officers. There
isn't much about the person or who his family
was, but there is mentioned, his name only, and the missions he was sent on.
This may not even be the right William Quinn you are looking for . Hope it did help you for he appeared to have wanderlust and
a need for adventure.
