Comments, questions, concerns, corrections always welcome!

Charles Clerville Quebedeaux (Nicolas, Nicolas, Charles) was born 15 Sep 1831 (Opel. Ch.: v. 3, p. 236), and married 1) 13 Dec 1848 Julienne Jones (Opel. Ct. Hse.: Mar. #606), married 2) Anna Linsicum bef 1875, married 3) Lucilia (Widow Richard) 15 Jul 1896 (Crowley Ct. Hse.: Mar. #1437).

Clerville is a hard nut to crack; I've been unable to find very much information in Southwest Louisiana Records or in any census. I've had to look at the probabilities in putting this one together.

His first marriage is annotated in SWLR as to Julienne Sony, however this surname is unlikely. The best information I've run across suggests this is Julienne Jones, the sister of Solomon Jones who married Charles' sister Tersille.

The second marriage to Anna/Anne Linsicum is not documented in SWLR, however Solomon Jones' mother Catherine Hayes (widow Jones) married John Linsicum, and there is a daughter named Anne b. abt 1835 in the 1850 census. There are three children born to this couple in SWLR, and it appears likely that Solomon Jones' half-sister was Clerville's second wife.

Clerville fathered at least seven children through these three unions:

Julienne Jones:

1) Aurelia b. 5 Jan 1851 (GC Ch.: v. 2, p. 43). I have found no further information on this child at this time.

Anna Linsicum:

Lucilia (Widow Richard):

Census information I've come across so far:

Clairville (C.) Quebedeau, 19, M, Labor
Julienne Quebedeau, 22, F

1900 Acadia Parish Census, Police Jury Ward 1:
