Greetings to all, and the blessings of the Holy Season to each of you! There is nothing finer, to me, than to find people talking about Pringles! I married a Pringle over 43 yrs. ago, and having had four children who are Pringles also, I consider myself to be a Pringle.
First, a short answer on the STALLWORTH family - Nancy married Daniel ROGERS, Iii, son of my ancestor, Daniel ROGERS and wife Lucretia HARRIS ROGERS, of Edgefield District, SC. I have a book on the STALLWORTH family as well as I have the original ROGERS family book by Eme O'Dell Bannister, a relative. I will be happy to answer any questions about these two Edgefield families.
Secondly, our PRINGLES did originally come from Scotland, but possibly by way of the plantation in Ireland. For our purposes, I will say that 45 years of searching has not given me the original immigrant to the colonies, but I do know that William Pringle of Sumter District, SC, ( wife Mary McCoy) named his father as John PRINGLE with no dates or places. The line goes to William Pringle, son of William, md Elizabeth MCCOY, a sister to Jasper Redden MCCOY (ARW HERO). ( Redden married a sister to William Pringle (II), Susan Jane PRINGLE).
Now, here are the folks who brought us to those in Escambia, FL, and to Mississippi and Alabama as well as points beyond. William (II) had a brother Abraham who was married to Mary CLARKE. There seems to Brno proof, but Abraham took their four sons, leaving Mary behind, and went into FLORIDA abt 1820, around Alachua County, I believe.
Abraham was a restless soul who allowed no moss to grow under his feet! He moved rather quickly into Escambia Co., FL, then on to Alabama and Mississippi. Abraham is buried in Cokers Chapel, MS. He was married again and had quite a lot of children. I would need to look all of this up in my files, but will gladly pull out those files, if anyone wants the info. There are several good researchers o Abraham PRINGLE's descendants. I am sure that I can put you in touch with them.
I tend to work on our line of PRINGLES which descends from Elijah J. PRINGLE, son of William (II). Elijah md. Rebecca Frances MCBRIDE (Witherspoon)
I have more and love helping others find their PRINGLES! Please be in touch if I can help you find your PRINGLES! P.S. We were PRINGLES long before those little round things ever hit any grocery, which is a wonderful thing, too!
Blessings and good searches to you,
Dolores M. PringleFtrandalludc@gmail.com
