Most of my information comes from family records. Information and family stories were pasted from generation to generation as there was no TV in those days "as the elders always said" They wanted us to know "shanlt we forget" (so we should not forget) What were we not to forget? Where their graves were and to pay our respect. To clean around their graves and to place flowers upon, they left a trail of information for us a piece with each child, a piece with each grandchildren. We were to come together and share the pieces for the whole story. The name Prindle/ Pringle comes from the name de Hoppringill meaning. I am a U.E. desendant and most of my information is this linage. I lost track of the branches that went back to U.S.A. but the U.E. branches was proved during the second world world. When social insurances cards came out in Canada all loystist descendants had to register at the employment office, and their prove is on their cards. I am hopeing to trace the Pringle family linage back further but am on holidays and don't have my book of the de Hoppringill's with me. I hope this has been helpful. will post more later. You can e-mail if you wish and I'll try to answer your questions. Good luck.
