ONTARIO: Albert C. Potter, 84, of Ontario, Ohio died January 27, 2014.
Born January 15, 1930 he was the son of Henry and Martha (Howard) Potter.
Albert was a great man who loved his family dearly. He was a well liked, proud man who worked hard and was very generous with his time and talents.
His grand and great grandchildren were the apple of his eye!
In his free time, he enjoyed golfing and gardening.
He was a Korean War Army Veteran, who saw war action and was wounded.
Albert worked for General Motors in Elyria, Ohio until his retirement in 1988.
He and his wife later moved to the Mansfield/Ontario area to be closer to family.
Albert was a member of The Ontario VFW.
He is survived by his wife, Fannie Potter of Ontario; son, Cecil (Debra) Potter of Lexington, Ohio; daughter, Rhonda (John) Snyder of North Olmstead, OH; two grandsons, Wesley (Robin) Potter of Ft. Wayne, IN and Matthew Potter of Galion, OH; three great granddaughters, Taylor, Jenna, and McKenna; three brothers, Louise, Dexter (Irene), and Oral Potter; sister, Alice (Tom) Mooney; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Albert was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Granville, Patrick, J.B., and Freeman; and two infant sisters.
Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, January 30, 2014 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington Springmill Rd., Ontario.
A time for remembrance and family eulogies to be said will occur at 7:30 p.m., led by his nephew, Bud Potter, with special prayer by Pastor Tony Viscioni.
Graveside services, conducted by Pastor Tony Viscioni, will be held Friday, January 31, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at Resthaven Memory Gardens, 3700 Center Rd., Avon, OH 44011.
Military services conducted by VFW #9871 of North Ridgeville will be held at the cemetery.
