Hi. Thanks for such a quick answer.

Finding out information is not an easy job. It would be easier if I were fluent in Ukrainian or Polish, but as it is, I have a tutor once a week and am still at the kindergarten level. However, it's better than nothing.

My father (Walter in English, Volodimir in Ukr.) was born in 1905 (or 1907). We think his baptism records were changed at some point because my tutor and I have finally translated an old letter from one of his sisters in which she says she is two years older and she was born in 1907.

What information do you have? Any papers about your father-in-law? Baptism certificate? naturalization papers? First name? How he spelled Brewka in Ukrainian? Any idea where he might have come from, even generally? From what I've discovered, there seems to have been more than one Brewka family in the part of Galicia (now Poland) where my father was born. Is the man still alive? When he came to N. America, where did he enter, where did he go and why that particular place?

Do you have your own e-mail so that I don't have to go through the message center?

I'll be happy to send you so xeroxes of old family pictures in which I am trying to identify the people. Do you have any pictures yourself?
