Well, I know some of the Danbury Pannozzo's were descended from from my father's 2 older brothers, Luigi (who worked in a hat factory for many years) and Joseph (who worked for the New Haven railroad Co.). Joseph's daughter is married to a Mr. Minofla who runs a plastics company and Luigi (Louis) had several children some of whom lived into their 90's.
A third brother of my father Vincenzo (James) Pannozzi lived near him in Cranston.
I was able to travel to Fondi in 2003 after spending a week in Caserta, and met a woman who knew of my father's family. It is a quaint and charming city, a bit hard to find, but I regret not having been able to get to Campodimele which was the original home of my father's family. My gradfather was Salvatore Pannozzo (1845-18??) and my grandmother was Rafella Filomena Carrocia. Three of my father's brothers, Andrea, Constanzo and Pasquale Pannozzo are all unaccounted for, as is their sister Maria Domenica Pannozzo, and even the woman in Fondi did not know what became of them. All were born in the 1870's or 1880's as was my father. However, I have not yet met any other Pannozzo with the curious blue-grey eye color that my father had.
