Deb,
The information I have has not been verified by me but has been given to me through other posts such as you have given. I have young children and don't really have the time to verify information at this stage of my life. I gather the information given and then log it and file it away for the time when I can really "dig-in". Having said that...this is what I have for you.
ANDREW EYLER, JR. married SUSANNAH SWEETWOOD
May 9, 1797, York Co., PA.
Children as follows:
MARGARET
ANNA "MARIA"
WILLIAM
ANDREW, III married MARY "POLLY" SHOVER
their children are POLLY (b 1832), SUSANNAH (b 1835),
ANDREW (b 1838), LEVINA (b 1841), WILLIAM (b ?),
HARRIET (b 1846)
also, someone as listed a girl named AMANDA (b ?) and
another girl named LUCY ANN (died in 1845) however they
do not appear to be confirmed as a part of this family. I am
assuming that this is the Harriet you are looking for but it '
would only make sense if she was the baby of the family
and if you could confirm that ANDREW III did indeed die in
an accident.
SUSANNAH
LITITIA
WILLIAM
GEORGE
JOHN married to CATHERINE HEFFLEFINGER (m April 1834)
I show that John died in 1872 and Catherine in 1890.
Their children were ELIZABETH L. (b. 1836),
JOHN A. (b. 1839), SUSAN C. (b. 1843),
WILLIAM I. (b. 1845), GEORGE H. (b. 1849)
I do not show him as divorced and having a second wife
being Sarah Heckman. What verification do
you have. This is the only "John" I have as James W.
Scott Oiler's brother.
Let me know if this helps or clouds the issues.
Linda
