James Max O'Gwin

James Max O'Gwin, 81, of Norman died Saturday, July 29 in Norman.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Havenbrook Funeral Home
Chapel with Leon Dennis and Roy Finley officiating. Burial will
follow at the Moore City Cemetery in Moore. Services under the
direction of Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman.

O'Gwin was born Sept. 6, 1924 in Norman to Ida and James O'Gwin.
He graduated from Norman High School and later attended numerous
automotive and air conditioning schools. He married Martha Whitten
on Sept. 6, 1969 in Norman. Mr O'Gwin was an auto mechanic for
many years in the Norman area before retirement. He was a member
of the Westisde Church of Christ for 65 years.

O'Gwin was preceded in death by his parents, sister Helen xxx, and
stepdaughter Sandra Young Thomas.

Survivors include his wife, Martha of Norman, stepsons Keith and
wife Kris of Moore; grandchildren David Young of Moore, Keenan
Young of Norman, Clayton Young of Norman, xxx of Tahlequah, Olivia
Whitten of Moore and Joe Whitten of Moore; nephew Bobby Southard
of Elk City; three great-grandchildren and several cousins.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Southard, Ken Snethen, Jeff Jennings,
xxx Obrecht, Owen Keel and Bill Logan.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Westside Church of Christ
at 727 McGee St., Norman, OK, or the American Cancer Society, xx0
