Dr.Jean Armentaire Monges is my thrice great grandfather. He was a parishioner of Christ Church Philadelphia and is buried in their burial ground a few graves over from Benjamin Franklin. His son Aristides is buried in Laurel Hill Cemetery there. his grandson Henry Babad Monges went to Texas, where he was ordained a vocational deacon in the Episcopal church. After service in Borders' regiment of Texas Rangers Henry B.relocated to Martinez, California, where my grandfather Richard Fenner Monges was born. All of these are menorialized in Findagrave. com and are in a "virtual cemetery" on line that is maintained by my brother Henry G. Davison. Our cousin Robert Monges has collected a lot of documents that Henry and I have used to maintain our familoy tree. We have, and have posted, portrais of many of our ancestotrs. I will help you to find what we havev put on line, but your quickest way to them is to Google Thorame Basse genealogy Monges, which is what brings up your posting and also a link to Dr. John A Monges Findagrave memorial, which leads you inno all the rest.My cousin Walton van Winkle lives in Philadelphia and has taken me to all of the actual graves there.
