I am a direct descendant of Sarah Ann Mizell Sparkman, and I am also interested in the question and am currently researching it.
Sarah was the daughter of David Mizell, b. 1770, in GA. I have consulted several sources about them, and they are almost all in disagreement on this question. David M. is alleged to have married twice, the first to a Nancy Evans, about whom little is known, except that some sources list her as dying around 1807-8. He is then alleged to have married a Sarah Albritton, during the time he was in Bulloch Co. GA. You will find sources on the Internet which dispute this (Dan Franklin), and some which support this. However, I believe that this is due to the existence of TWO each of David Mizells and Sarah Albrittons at the time, and both pairs lived in Bulloch Co. Georgia, and married VERY close in time and space to each other. The sources also disagree about Sarah Mizell Sparkman's birthdate, but the majority of the evidence is 1823. Should David Mizell have married a Sarah Albritton, she would be Sarah Ann Mizell Sparkman's mother. There is evidence that this is the case.
Sarah Ann Mizell married Elijah Byrd Sparkman, and they were my great-great-grandparents on my father's side. Her grave is in Bethlehem Graveyard, near Dover, Hillsborough County, Florida. I am profile manager of her, her mother(s, both of the alleged), and her father's profiles, on wikitree.com, and you can go there and read my discussion of the sources. Anyone who finds out more is encouraged and welcome to contact me there.
