Does anyone have any thoughts on where George's residence and ordinary were in Louisa County? I have seen the reference to "Old Michaels Road" that appears to start in the area of Elk Creek Road and travel to Mineral. Several places cited in this road reference pretty much put it running through my house. I figure it to be along the lines of present day Kentucky Springs Road.
As many days off that I have been looking in my county, I haven't a thing to show for. I have heard it from a family member some time back that both George I and George II may have been buried under Lake Anna. I know that George II and Elizabeth Cosby Duke are not buried with her father Cleavers Chisholm Duke at the Dukelands estate. I understand that when the lake parameters were defined, that as many graves as were found, were relocated. I have also learned that the lake filled faster and larger than expected.
Would love any theories.
