I did a search of the LDS Catalogue for books that may address Logsdon genealogy, and I came up with a rather large list. I figured it would be of use to everyone else as well, so here it is, along with notes on content which were found in the catalogue:

Ancestors and descendants of Myra Etta Wright and Leonard Logsdon by Hull, Judith Yarger. Includes index. Includes information on the Dawson, Moorman, Reynolds, Willis and Wright families. Leonard Logsdon was born 13 September 1877. He moved with his family from Des Moines, Iowa and later married Myra Etta Wright of Iowa. They were the parents of seven children. Descendants lived primarily in Iowa and elsewhere.

The ancestral history of Kenny Katy Carlson, Carlson, Scott (Scott Alan) , 1955-. Includes information on the families of Carlson, Logsdon, Scheer, McClain and Allphin. Kenneth Scott Carlson (1982- ) and Katelyn Ann Carlson (1988- ) are the children of Scott Alan Carson (1955- ) and Janice Eileen Sheer (1959- ). Both Scott and Janice descend from early settlers who emigrated from Europe. Ancestors settled in Virginia and Maryland and later moved to Kentucky, Indiana and further west.

Scheer is the daughter of John T. Scheer and Dorothy Allpin. The immigrant ancestor, Frank August Carlsson (b. 1864), was born in Almhult, Sweden. He came to America in 1880. He met and married Rosa Shelton (b. 1874) from Lincoln, Nebraska around 1885/90. She was the daughter of Sylvester Shelton and Nancy Johnson. Family lived on a farm in La Center, Washington, and in Gales Creek, Washington Co., Oregon. The early Scheer ancestor, Paul Scheer (1860-1933), was born in Schlesien-Breslau, Germany. He immigrated to America in 1889 and settled near Morrowville, Kansas. His wife, Anna Loch (1869-1943), was born in Germany, and came to Kansas with her parents, Franz T. Johanna Loch, in 1883.

The earliest known Logsdon ancestor, William Logsdon (b. 1652), is said to have been born in Northern Ireland. He came to America in 1673. He later married an Irish girl, Honora O'Flynn. Includes index. Includes Darling, Gard, Gregory, Logsdon, Mock, Neffendorf and related families. Isaac Cook (1702-1794) and Mary Houghton (1712-1773) were married in 1734. He was the son of Peter and Elinor Norman Cook who left England in 1713. Peter died and was buried at sea. Descendants of their eight children lived in Pennsylvania, the Carolinas, Kentucky, Ohio, Illinois, Colorado, California and elsewhere.

He married 1736 Susannah Chapman, daughter of Robert and Elizabeth Chapman. Anthony Arnold (1715-1792) was born in St. Anne's Parish, Anne Arundel Co., Md. to Anthony Arnold (d. 1721) and Sarah. He married Margareth in 1742.

Thomas Durbin, born 1626 in England and died 1697, was the immigrant ancestor and American progenitor who came to this country with the colony brought over by Lord Baltimore in 1638. He had at least two children, Christopher and William, who were both born in Baltimore, Maryland. The first known Logsdon in America was William who came over with Captain Samuel Smith in 1674, landing in Virginia.

Gives the ancestors of Richards Wells and his wife Zerilda Kerr. Richard was born in 1804 in Kentucky to Edward and Mary (Moore) Wells. Zerilda was born in 1815 in Missouri to Richard and Ruth (Wells) Kerr. They married in 1833 in Missouri. It also tries to trace the ancestors of David Logan who married two daughters of Richard and Zerilda Kerr. He was born in 1838 in Pennsylvania to David and Susana Louisa (Hodsel) Logan. He immigrated to the United States in 1673 and served a four year indentureship as a tobacco planter in Maryland. Later, he secured a 300 acre tract of land near the southern border of Pennsylvania. William married Honora O'Flynn ca. 1702 and they reared their children on their family tobacco plantation in Maryland. Descendants lived primarily in Kentucky, Iowa, Montana and elsewhere.

Nicholson family history Tallman, Allen Donald, 1925-. Descendants of Henry Nicholson, who was born probably in England ca. 1708. In 1729 he married Hannah Spencer in Hartford, Connecticut. She was the daughter of Jedediah Spencer. She married three more times after Henry Nicholson's death. She married (2) Mr. Burt; (3) Peletiah Glover (d. 1754) in 1749; and (4) Noah Brooks (d. 1782) in 1755. Hannah died in 1782. Family members and descendants live in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, Pennsylvania, California and elsewhere. Includes index. Includes allied families of Matheson, Logsdon, etc.
