James Logan appears on the 1790 and 1800 census in Shirley Township, Huntingdon Co, PA. The census shows he had 6 sons and 2 daughters. He also appears on the 1795 tax list as owning 250 acres in Shirley.

A bill of sale is recorded for 360 acres in Dublin Township, Huntingdon County joining burnt cabins on Aughwich Creek in 1773 from James Watson to James Logan. Dublin Twp became or is next to Shirley Twp.

One of James Logan's heirs appears to be a Roger Logan who is on the 1800 census. There is a recorded will for Roger in Shirley, but no will was recorded for James. It's possible that a James Logan on the 1800 census is also another son of James.

I am a descendant of David Logan who was born 1781/82 and lived in Greene Co TN. He died in 1849 in Greene County TN. The earliest record of David Logan there is his marriage to Elizabeth McPheron in 1803. He later married Priscilla Woolsey in 1806. Any help appreciated.
