Pleasant Litchford, his wife, Parthenia and seven children arrived in Columbus, OH from near Richmond, VA in 1832. He worked as a blacksmith, and lived in Ohio for many years. He died in Indiana while visiting his daughter Ardenia and is buried there. One of his sons, Miles, lived in Utah but died in Greensboro, South Carolina. Miles was the inventor of a saw to cut stone, similar to the saw used by Fish Stone Cutters. Pleasant's son, Frederick, remained in Columbus and died there. The other members of the family are unknown, except for Frederick's family. I am Frederick's great-grand son.
