Thelma E. Lisa
Age 83 of Newark, DE passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 27, 2004.

Thelma was born November 24, 1920 in Jersey City, NJ, the daughter of the late George and Eva Rummler. On June 7, 1947, she married James P. Lisa, who died May 19, 1981.

She was a member of St. John's-Holy Angels Church in Newark. Thelma was an avid golfer and a longtime member of the Newark Country Club. She enjoyed reading, playing bridge, knitting and volunteering. Her true love was family, especially her grandchildren. Thelma will be dearly missed.

Thelma is survived by 3 children: a daughter, Joan E. Lisa, of Tucson AZ and her daughters, Ylla Nikola-Lisa of Silver Spring, MD and Larissa Nikola-Lisa of Chicago, IL; a son, James P. Lisa, Jr. and his wife, Karen, and their children, James P. Lisa III and Jennifer J. Lisa, all of Hockessin, DE; and a son, Donald M. Lisa and his wife, Mindy, and their children, Michael D. Lisa and Emily K. Lisa, all of Pickerington, OH.

Thelma is also survived by sisters, Augusta "Billye" Maver of Toronto, CN and Eva Femly of FL. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 2 brothers; and a sister.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John's Catholic Church, East Main St., Newark, DE on Saturday January 31, 2004 at 10 am. Friends and family may call at R.T. Foard & Jones Funeral Home, 122 West Main St., Newark, DE 19711 on Friday evening, January 30, 2004, from 7-9 pm. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in Thelma's memory may be made to the Holy Angels Building Fund, c/o the funeral home.
