FORT WAYNE, IN: Richard G. Leffler, 81, passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2013, at Betz Nursing Home in Auburn, IN.
Born in Upper Sandusky, Ohio,(Wyandot County)
Richard was a Korean War Army Veteran.
He retired in 1996 as Vice President of Manufacturing for Cooper Industrial Products where he worked for 36 years.
He was a member of Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church, Autumn Ridge Golf Club and the American Legion.
He enjoyed golfing, watching the Cleveland Brown, Indians, and Ohio State Buckeyes.
Surviving are his loving wife of 23 years, Patsy Leffler of Fort Wayne; son, David Leffler of Detroit, MI; daughters, Lori (Gary) Shuman of Indianapolis, Jenny (Greg) Shipe of Auburn; step-son, Michael (Helen) Krick of Medford, OR; step-daughter, Karen Bassett of Fort Wayne; sister, Jean Kelly of Marion, Ohio; 12 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
Richard was preceded in death by parents, Edwin and Catheryne Leffler and brother, Jack Leffler.
Mass of Christian Burial was held 11:00 am, Tuesday, December 31, 2013, at Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church.
Calling was held from 9:00 am until the service.
