James Thomas King (4/15/1932 Chicago - 6/23/1984 Chicago; ) married June Josephine Zech (6/6/1935 IL - 12/12/1988 Chicago; ).

This is the death record for James: It identifies his parents as William King and Josephine Pektobrch. His birth record lists his parents as William E. King and Josephine Pekovitch.

I have obits for James and June King.

As for James, these are his parents:

William King (born c. 1903 in NJ) married Josephine Pekovitch (6/8/1908 PA - 5/2/1960 Chicago; ). They had two children.

* Catherine Josephine King (11/27/1927 Chicago - 7/17/1990 Cook county IL; ) married Fred J. Rzeszutko (12/27/1922 IL - 9/17/1974 Chicago; )
* James King, as per above.

This would be the family in Chicago in 1930: and this is the family in 1940:

I do not know when William died, but he was at least alive until 1974, based on the death notice for Fred Rzeszutko. And he presumably died by 1984, as he is not mentioned in the death notice for James King. A photo volunteer confirmed for me that Josephine King is buried in an individual grave with no other Kings around her. She checked the cemetery database and William is not listed at St Adalberts, so I do not know where he is buried.

I have seen Josephine's maiden name spelled several different ways, but I went with the way it is spelled in her death notice for her brother. This is her death record:

This is the birth record of Catherine with the mother's maiden name as Cekovitch: Fred Rzeszutko was in the navy during WWII.

I have obits for Josephine King, and Catherine and Fred Rzeszutko, but I do not have an obit for William King.
