As you can see, I really don't visit this site often. I hope you get this message. As near as I can tell, Adam Kiehl and Catherine Kunkle are possibly my Great-Great-Grandparents. The Kunkle connection with the Kiehls through the generations in and around around Adamsburg, PA is very strong. My Great Grandfather was James H. Kiehl born in 1852, died in 1929. His wife was Lucy Miller Kiehl and they had three children, Sadie, Annie, and Walter. Walter was my Grandfather, my Grandmother's name was Cora McCune Kiehl, died 1922. Walter died circa 1929. My father was Joseph Kim Kiehl born in 1920, died in 1990. My father's Aunt, Sadie Kiehl, married a Phil Kunkle around the turn of the century sometime. In fact, a Kunkle is buried in the Kiehl cemetary plot with my Grandfather and great-grandfather at Brush Creek cemetary near Adamsburg, PA. My father knew all the Kunkle's in the area and considered them "family" more or less. I suspect Adam may be James's father and therefore my GGGrandfather. I have a note that Adam died 1 March 1888 at age 74 years 8 months and 2 days. His wife was Catherine D. who died at age 62 on 27 June 1890. They were both buried in the Adamsburg Cemetary, which was closed in 1939. Pls feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
and I'll be happy to tell you everything I know about what appear to be mutual relatives. Sincerely, Joseph A. Kiehl.
