Kauila J. Kamai Jr.


Kauila Joseph "Uncle Nip" Kamai Jr., 51 of 310 Hynds Ave. died May 6 at home in

Mr. Kamai was born May 26, 1952, in Clovis, N.M.

He married Delores (Aldana) Kamai on June 25, 1972, at St. Mary's Cathedral in

He served in the U.S. Army in 1970.

Mr. Kamai was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife, Delores Kamai of Cheyenne; son, Fred Kamai of Cheyenne;
daughters and sons-in-law, Tricia (Kamai) and Joseph Fresquez of Cheyenne and Gina
(Kamai) and Matt Romero of Cheyenne; his mother, Angie Kamai of Las Vegas; two
brothers,Danny Kamai and John Kamai, both of Denver; two sisters, Susan Lujan and
Olivia Kamai, both of Las Vegas; and three beautiful grandchildren, Alejandra Fresquez,
Joseph Fresquez Jr. and Matthew Romero Jr., all of Cheyenne.

He was preceded in death by his father, Kauila Kamai Sr., on April 12, 2003, and a
nephew, Jamie Kamai, on June 21, 2001.

Vigil for the Deceased will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Wiederspahn-Radomsky Chapel.

Funeral LIturgy will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Cathedral with Father
Peter James officiating.

Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the Olivet Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be John Kamai, John Munoz, Anthony Vigil, Matthew Romero, Joseph
Fresquez and Mario Hernandez.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Lujan, Danny Kamai, Dion Lujan, Chris Ornelas,
Joseph Fresquez Jr. and Matthew Romero Jr.

Friends may contribute in his memory in care of Delores Kamai, 310 Hynds Blvd.,
Cheyenne, WY 82007.

He will be missed by all. May he rest in peace now. We love you.
