I would like to respectfully make a few additions and corrections to the posts on Levi Porter and his son Thomas Michael Jetmore:
Levi married his first wife, Malinda Smith, in 1845. They had no children. I don't know if the marriage ended in death or divorce, but he married Mary Dunfee in 1850 and they had six children--4 sons and two daughters. Thomas was third oldest of the boys. Both Levi Porter and Mary Dunfee Jetmore are buried at the Christian Chapel cemetery in Churubusco, Indiana.
I have always heard the three wives of Thomas listed as Holsworth, Meed, and Campbell in order. But I think he married Sarah Anne Campbell first in 1887. He had seven children by Sarah, one of whom was my grandfather, Harry Evan Jetmore. Sarah died in 1907 at age 47. She had been married before Thomas married her to a man named Martin Griffen who my uncle Walt asserted abandoned her when she was pregnant.
His second wife was probably Leona Meed who I think had been married to a man named Wilson prior to the marriage to Thomas.
His third wife was Mary Holsworth. She had two wealthy sons who lived in Fort Wayne who disapproved of the marriage (this again according to my Uncle Walt).
At any rate, Thomas is buried in Wallen cemetery. It is on the Bethel road, close to the little town of Wallen on highway 3 north of Fort Wayne, Indiana. There is no Walten Indiana. There is a town called Walton but it is between Kokomo and Logansport and an unlikely burial spot for Leona. Sarah is buried at the Wallen cemetery with Thomas. Between Sarah and Thomas is buried Leona. Her gravestone says Leona Wilson Jetmore 1859-1832. Sarah's stone says Sarah wife of TM Jetmore Oct. 1860-5-22-1907.
I know the information for the grave locations is accurate because my family maintains these three graves.
