I am the great-great grandson of Electious Jenkins, who was apparently born in Maryland in 1781. He married Lidiann Coblar in Virginia, in 1803, and died in Adams Co., Ohio in 1859. Family lore has it that he was found when 4 years old in a field in Pennsylvania by a covered wagon train, shortly after his own family had been attacked by Indians. His mother was abducted, and his father tomahawked and hung from a tree. Our Jenkins roots start with him, but he must have had ancestors. Any knowledge of a family which lost members to an Indian attack during that period (around 1785) would be most helpful. He and his wife had 7 sons and 5 daughters. He worked in a munitions factory at Martins Ferry on the Ohio River during the War of 1812.
