Our beloved mother and grandmother, Theresa Fedorczak, of Wyoming, passed away on Sunday morning, December 27, 2009, at her home. Theresa Fedorczak was born on June 8, 1922 in Orange, Pa., a daughter of the late Adam and Anna Hydock Waclawski, the eldest of four siblings. Theresa was well and spent the holidays with her family enjoying her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Theresa was 87 years old and lived her life to the fullest. Along with volunteering at John Heinz Rehabilitation Center and the Wyoming Free Library, Theresa enjoyed swimming and exercising and was an active member of the Christian Mothers Society of Our Lady of Sorrows Parrish, West Wyoming. Besides being a killer pinochle player, she had a passion for learning and spent the last few years traveling extensively throughout the states, Europe and Asia. Theresa could be found anywhere from whitewater rafting in Colorado and Alaska, hot-air ballooning, parasailing, exploring the pyramids and riding camels in Egypt, learning to sail in Maine, cruising the Caribbean Islands, walking the Great Wall in China, to sipping an espresso in Italy. However, nothing brought her more joy than time spent with family and friends. Theresa lived every day with zeal, and her adventurous spirit will continue to inspire us all. She was preceded in death by three loving husbands, Raymond Gatti, Francis Hooper and Walter Fedorczak; and her brothers, Edward and Adam Waclawski. She is survived by seven children, John Gatti, Jean Gatti Ragantesi, Larry Gatti, Angela Gatti Stout, Raymond Gatti, Donna Hooper Cerza, and Judy Fedorczak Marley; two sisters, Rosemary Locascio and Josephine Walters; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Sorrows Church, West Wyoming, with Father Michael Marchetti officiating. Relatives and friends may call Wednesday from 9 a.m. until time of service at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 363 West 8th Street, West Wyoming, PA 18644. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to any of the following: John Heinz Rehabilitation Center/Allied Services Foundation, 100 Abington Exec. Park, Clarks Summit, PA 18411; Wyoming Free Library, 358 Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, PA 18644; or Our Lady of Sorrows Church, 363 West 8th Street, West Wyoming, PA 18644. Arrangements are made by the Metcalfe and Shaver Funeral Home Inc., 504 Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming.
