DANVILLE: Robert L. Hunter, 81, of Wooster Road, Danville, Ohio died early Monday morning, Feb. 11th, 2013 in MedCentral Mansfield Health System after a ten day illness.

Bob was born July 3, 1931 in Loudonville, Ohio and was the son of the late Leo and Helen (Buckingham) Hunter.

He was a 1948 graduate of Loudonville High School, a US Army veteran serving during the Korean War, and had lived in the Jelloway area since 1975.
He worked many years as a supervisor for The Flexible Company and later worked as an air conditioning retro-fitter on buses throughout the country.
He enjoyed mushroom hunting and cooking and operated his own small catering business known as "Have Cooker Will Travel" and was famous for his barbequed pork chops.
He was a member of the American Legion, the VFW, the Mansfield 40et8, the Mansfield Elks #56, the Owls, the Mansfield Lodge #35 F&AM, the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, the Al Koran Shrine, and the Mt. Vernon Grotto.

Bob is survived by two sons: Tim (Susan) Hunter of North Canton, Ohio, and Joseph Hunter of Danville, OH; and 1 daughter: Amy (Jay) Nedds of Willard, OH.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Service of Remembrance will be held Saturday, Feb. 16, 2013 at 2:00 PM in LINDSEY FUNERAL HOME, LOUDONVILLE with military honors conducted by the VFW and American Legion. Friends may call one hour prior to the services (1:00 - 2:00 PM) in the funeral home.
