STRUTHERS, Ohio – Services will be on Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2014, at 9:30 a.m. at the Kirila Funeral Home Inc. and at 10 a.m. at the Christ Our Savior Parish, Holy Trinity Church for Terrence A. Hritz, 72, who died on Tuesday, Nov. 25, at Vibra Hospital of Mahoning Valley, surrounded by his family.

Terry was born on Dec. 1, 1941, in Detroit, Michigan, son of the late Joseph and Mary Chismar Hritz.

He was a 1960 graduate of Struthers High School.
After graduation he entered into the U.S. Air Force. He worked for LTV Steel, J & L Steel and Cold Metal Products, from where he retired in 2002.
Terry enjoyed traveling with his wife, boating, building and flying model airplanes, model trains, racing and computer simulators.
He was a member of the Mahoning County Model Club.

Terry was a four-time cancer survivor and was fighting a rare form of Parkinson’s Disease called Progressive Supranuclear Palsy.

He was cherished and will be deeply missed by his wife, Dorothy Schlosser Hritz, whom he married on May 14, 1966; a son, Joseph S. Hritz (fiancé Karen Lambert) of Struthers; daughter Nancy A. Hritz (fiancé Christopher Stellato) of Boardman, OH; two grandchildren, Dylan and Kaitlyn Hritz, both of Struthers, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Virginia Hritz Petretich; stepmother Agnes (Orvec) Hritz; a sister-in-law, Evelyn Schlosser; a brother-in-law, William Chovan; and many aunts and uncles.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, Dec. 1, 2014, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Kirila Funeral Home Inc., 258 Poland Ave. in Struthers, OH.
