Omer D. Howland, formerly of Ohio, with his brother, J.M, Howland owned Howland Coffee Company and acted as agents for Caswell Tea and Coffee Company. He committed suicide on 1/19/1919 by shooting himself in the head in the company warehouse at 1111 I Street in Sacramento.
He was 45 years of age, and his father was Jesse L. Howland of Ohio. and he had 4 or 5 broithers back East.
The deceased was in good health, the business was prosperous and his brother stated he know of no reasons for him to take his life.
