I am researching the HOPKINS family in Edgefield Co., SC.
I found in the Edgefield Co., SC Deed Books 16,17, 18 this reference. pg.
" JESSE HOPKINS to the daughters of THOMAS YOUNGBLOOD: WINNEFRED KIRKSEY,
ELIZABETH ADAMS, REBECCA HAREGROVE, AMY WILLIAM, AND ISABELLA YOUNGBLOOD.
Deed of gift, 17 Sep 1799, natural affection, all the bonds, notes, open
accounts & cash i am possessed of, also livestock & property I may possess
at the time of my death; should any donees depart among survivors. Wit.
JAMES YOUNGBLOOD, THOMAS YOUNGBLOOD. /s/ JESSE (x) HOPKINS. Proven 17 Sept
1799 by JAMES YOUNGBLOOD; Wm. ROBERSTSON JP Rec. 10 Oct 1799."
On 2-2-1800 THOMAS YOUNGBLOOD made an application on the estate of JESSE
On 3-7-1800 Letters of Administration granted to THOMAS YOUNGBLOOD on the
estate of JESSE HOPKINS, who died intestate.
Could you please tell me the relationship between the HOPKINS & YOUNGBLOOD
I am descended from ISAAC HOPKINS who stated in ARW pension papers that he
lived in Edgefield Co., SC. ISAAC HOPKINS was born Jan 1756 in Orange Co.,
enlisted in Granville Co., NC in 1777, and died in 1852 in Wilkes Co., GA.
In ISAAC HOPKINS pension papers he stated he moved with his father when he
was 16 to Granville Co., NC with his father. *(no mother was mentioned in

VA in 1758 and lived with his father in Granville Co., NC when he enlisted

in White Co., TN. just have a feeling ISAAC & JESSE might be brothers.
