Mildred Drummond left our world peacefully in her sleep to be with the Lord on Dec. 23, 2005.
Dollie was born Feb. 25, 1921, in Buffalo, Wyo., to Daniel and Loretta Holloway. She moved to California in 1942, when she married Robert Drummond, who died in 1978. In 2004, she moved to Camarillo and enjoyed many happy times.
Dollie's words: "The Lord is my Shepherd reads the 23rd Psalm, recalling it quietly turns my anxiety to calm. I envision my Wyoming home with green fields and streams. He is with me in waking and dreams. He walks beside me near the still waters, keeping me strong and whole as he restores my soul. When God chooses my earthly bonds to sever, I will reside in the house of the Lord forever."
She is survived by her daughter, Loretta Collet of Oxnard; son, Reid, and his wife, Felisa, of Barstow; grandsons, Robert Collet, James Collet, William Collet and David Drummond; granddaughter, Loretta Drummond; eight great-grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.
Dollie was a bright, shiny light to all who knew her.
