I would suggest that your grandfather's surname in Ireland was either Harbison, Herbison of Harvison - with the former being the most likely. I've extracted the Irish births from 1864 onwards, so could look him up. The most legal of the Irish H.s is to be found amongst the Catholic Cookstown/County 'Derry Harbison group, though other branches did throw up lawyers (mine did-was lawyer representing the third class passengers at the Titanic inquest).
