KETTERING: Dolores Greer, 76 of Kettering, Ohio and formerly of Chillicothe, Ohio passed away Friday, January 4, 2013 at Kettering Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.
She was born on June 17, 1936 in Wheeling, West Virginia to the late Nelson V. and Faye (Capobianco) Greer.
She graduated from Chillicothe High School in 1955 and moved to Dayton, Ohio where she pursued a long career with the Mead Corporation as an executive secretary.
She is survived by her sister Phyllis (Greer) Schuer; sister-in-law Mary (Towell) Greer; and nieces and nephews Scott, Christy, Angie, and Tony Schuer all of Livonia, Michigan; she is also survived by nieces and nephews Michael, Mary (husband Bruce Watts), Martha, Marcia, Marilynn and Margaret (husband Bill Collet) Greer.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brother Eugene V. Greer.
Dolores was severely injured in an automobile accident in her early 20's. However, her handicap never interfered with her joy of life; she was a real trooper.
She was witty and cantankerous and especially loved fashion, sun tanning, reading, decorating, maintaining her garden and spending time with friends.
She was a member of the infamous "Jack Marti" crowd.
Dolores has donated her remains to WSU Anatomical Gift Program.
