Bob Gibbons, 62, left his earthly body Sunday, May 11th. He is the cherished husband and soul mate of Debra J."Donna" Edwards (aka Samantha Kaye). He is survived by his beloved stepson, Ira Herman, daughter, Cathy Mitchell, grandsons Brandon and Devon Herman & Michael Mitchell, Jr., granddaughter Samantha Mitchell, sister, Shari Gibbons, brother, Armand Gibbons, daughter-in-law, Dannette Herman, and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members and friends. Bob was a talented artist and writer as well as a retired martial arts school owner. Bob achieved the rank of seventh degree black belt in Kenpo Karate. He recently accepted initiation into the Roots Without End Society in Jacmel, Haiti receiving the highest level of initiation into the Society - Houngan Asogwe to be known by the spiritual name of Bon Houngan Da Double Daginen, honor to him. Bob was a student of the world studying religion, metaphysics, art, science, and more. Services will be held Wednesday, May 14, 2003, at 2:00 p.m. with Houngan Steve Marich, at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE. Interment will take place at Fairview Cemetery. Friends may visit French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, Tuesday, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
