Parents: Louis T. Gainor, b. 1860. Maine; in 1883 to Butte and Walkerville, MT. In 1894, Walkerville, Louis married Miss Julia Hevey, b. 1871 in Manchester, Vermont. Children: Harold Gordon; Hazel (Mrs. Elmer Duhame); Virginia, b. 1905.
An article on Louis & Hazel's Golden Wedding anniversary included in "The Independent Record", Helena, MT, 3 Jan 1944, states they had four children, but only two surviving: Hazel (Mrs. Ben Burgess); Virginia (Mrs. Henry Hunter).
Harold attended Walkerville schools and graduated from Butte High School. He learned the butcher's trade with his father and became manager of Walkerville Meat Market.
In Dec. 1915, Harold married Miss Charlotte Collins, daughter of J.P. and Olive (Reese) Collins of Butte.
Harold's WWI draft registration, 1917, has a notation he was separated from his wife. The 1930 Federal Census shows Harold living in Martinez, Contra Costa, CA, with a wife named Betty who was born 1908 in Nebraska.
