I have been doing some family background research and so fare have confirmed that ancestor "frauenfeldt" now spelled "frownfelter" came to America from Switzerland in the late 1700's. They actually came from a small village in Switzerland by the name of "Frauenfeldt" located on Lake Geneva. The pronunciation of Frauenfeldt is actually Frownfelter in english. We have a doctor here in Indianapolis who told me one day that he knew a lot of my relatives; that he was born and raised in Frauenfeldt, Switzerland.

My great great grandfather was Jake Frownfelter who moved from Pennsylvania to souther Ohio and from there to southern Indiana. He had a son Samuel who had a son George C. (my grandfather) who had two sons Ralph R. and Lawrence S. (my father) and I have one brother Marvin D. All are deceased except me, my brother and our sons Gary D., Jeffrey A., (my sons) and Brian (Marvin's adopted son). Ralph has four surviving sons.

I was born July 13, l933 (now 69).
