MANTUA TWP. - Carl F. Fenrich, Jr. 80, died Friday, May 15, 1998 at his home.
Born Oct. 16, 1917 in Cleveland, Ohio, he was the son of Carl F. and Anna (Kaufman) Fenrich.
He was a lifetime Mantua area resident, graduating in 1935 from the Mantua-Center school.
Mr. Fenrich was self-employed as a farmer and milk hauler in the Mantua are, retiring in 1980. He also was a bus driver for the Crestwood School System for several years.
He and his wife enjoyed traveling in their Winnebago.
He was a member of the Buckeye Winnies Winnebago Club in Canton.
Survivors include his wife Nina (Bockelman) Fenrich at home; sons, Richard (Joyce) of Chardon, Ohio and Walter of Garrettsville, OH; daughters Kathy (William) Bennett of Mantua, and Judy (Ron) Porter of Bullhead City, Arizona; a brother, Kenneth, of Mantua; sisters, Ruth Boehnlein of Las Vegas, Jean Davis of Robinson, Ill. and Eleanor Brown of Montross, Va.; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Evelyn Akin.
Calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Green's Funeral Home in Mantua, where services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Roger Mize officiating.
Burial will be in Westlawn Cemetery in Mantua Township.

Virginia Fenrich Davis, 91, of Robinson, Illinois, died at 11:15 a.m. Sunday, May 8, 2016, at the Magnolia Center, in Robinson, IL.

She was born December 21, 1924, in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of Carl Fenrich and Anna Meyer Fenrich.

She married Robert Davis on October 12, 1947, and he survives.
She is also survived by her sisters, Eleanor Brown, of Fredericksburg, VA and Ruth Boenlein of Las Vegas, NV; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Anna Fenrich; by her sister, Evelyn Akin; and by her brothers, Carl Fenrich and Kenneth Fenrich.

She was a 1946 graduate of Mantua High School in Mantua, Ohio.

She went on to work for a number of banks in Ohio, before moving to Robinson in 1955, where she worked for Bradford Supply for 12 years before retiring.

When she wasn’t working, she enjoyed golfing and staying active at the Robinson First Christian Church.

It was Virginia’s wish to be cremated and her remains buried back home in Ohio.
No formal services are to be held in Illinois.
The Goodwine Funeral Home, in Robinson, is in charge of arrangements.
