Although Fehrmann is not an uncommon name, I think these Fehrmanns came from Kreis Greifenhagen, Province of Pomerania. There were Fehrmann Families there from at least 1833, at Klein Zarnow and at Lindow. It is possible that the immigrant ancestor, Christian Friedrich Fehrmann b. 17 FEb 1810 came from Schultzendorf, Kreis Greifenhagen. He married Friederike Achtmann in Germany, probably in the early 1830s. She ws born 05 Oct 1810. They arrived in NYC 06 Sep 1843 on the ship Howard from Hamburg and seem to have travelled directly to Wisconsin. It is possible that they belonged to the "Old Lutherans," who disagreed with the proposed doctrinal changes in the creation of the Prussian state church. Many Old Lutherans came to Milwaukee, Ozaukee and Dodge Counties in WI. C.F. and Friederike Fehrmann appear in the Emmett Township, Dodge County records from 1850. I am trying to find the church records from the 1840's and 1850's which would show their children's births and also Friederike's death in 1866 and C.F.'s death in 1875. They had Carl Fridrich b. 1835 m. Louise Albertine Ziemann and Caroline Wilhelmine b. 1836 in Germany, Christian F. b. 1857 m. Augusta Sauk (Sauck), Johann Friedrich b. 1849?, Wilhelm b. 1850?, August Friedrich b. 1851 m. Emilie Ziemann and Franz Friedrich b. 1855. Johann and Wilhelm lived for many years with Carl and his family, and Franz lived for most of his adult life with August and his family. I don't know if any of these three boys married. Caroline was living with her parents in 1860 at age 23. She may have married in the 1870s, but I have not yet found a record. If you know more than this I would be grateful if you would reply.
