The Vaupels in Pittsburgh, PA should all be my relatives. Elmer was a soldier and my grandmothers favorite relative. He was her brother or uncle and he died fairly young of cancer. We have some nespaper on his death. I think the Catherine born in the US abt 1884 is my granndmpother - however I always thought her name was Ella Katherine and her friend called her Katy, So I'm confused. She died in 77-78. She used to have the "family bible" going way back but an antiques dealer talked her into selling it to him. It was ancient. Her mothers maiden name was Offen I believe. She married Charles Hoffmann also born in Alegheny Co. PA. I think his middle name was E for Edward if I remember correctly.
