I am researching the Kensington Hose Company (1842-1871) a 19th century volunteer fire company from the Fishtown (Kensington) section of Philadelphia. This company was formed by the local fishermen and likely included among its members local Faunce men. I do know that Andrew Jackson Faunce (1842-1866) was a member of this fire company. If anyone has any information regarding this company or known members please let me know. The other local fishing families, to whom I'm sure many Faunces became related to, including Pote, Mood, Rice, Baker, Bakeoven, Upperman, etc. also probably provided many members. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
