Hello Patricia,

I'd very much like to correspond with you if possible. I think we may be researching the same Farmer family. If I am correct your James Farmer belongs to my Farmer Family tree.

My brickwall ancestor is my 4th great grandfather, Thomas "James" Farmer, b: circa 1760, unknown & d: between 31 Dec 1837 & 01 Jan 1838 in either Henry or Newton Co., GA. I will refer to him as James Sr.

I descend through James Sr.'s son, Ira E. Farmer. Sr also had a son named James Jr. I gathered the names of James Sr.'s children from two different land deeds. The land that was being sold belonged to James Sr. It was his children selling off his land after his apparent death since he did not leave a will.

What I've found about James Jr.: He was born circa 1790 in NC. He married a Nancy (unknown maiden name), but I have never found a marriage record for him. He and Nancy had 8 known children (names from Census findings): Sarah D., William Ellis, Ellenor Ann, Elizabeth C., James A., Lucy Jinnie, Martha M., and Clarissa Farmer.

Census findings:
1820 Unk Dist., Gwinnett Co., GA
1830 Unk Dist., Newton Co., GA
1840 Dist. 476, Newton Co., GA
1850 Subdivision 65, Newton Co., GA
1860 P. O. Conyers, Newton Co., GA
1870 Subdivision 163, Conyers, Newton Co., GA

Event Misc.:
Drew land during the 1821 Georgia Land Lottery
Witnessed a land transaction for James Sr., 06 Oct 1832, Deed Book E, Page 264, Newton Co., GA

If you think this is your James Farmer then please email me personally. Thanks! TJM
