Rocco Fanelli

It seems that there was more than one Rocco Fanelli living in Chicago 1900-1920.

My father's sister married Angelo Fanelli (1909-1972), a son of Rocco Fanelli (1873-1940) and of Francesca Iacobacci (1877-1937).

Rocco and Francesca had (at least) five children: 1) Mariella (1898-1924), who married Frank Letizia; 2) George (1899-1982), who married Carmel Lorenzo; 3) Anthony (1901-1972), who married Marguerite ____; 4) Lillian (1904-1970), who married Dominic Abata; and 5) Angelo, my uncle, who married twice, first to Mary Boyle, then to Grace Marzano.

There were other Fanelli families in Chicago (I assume somehow related) and some contained men named Rocco, George, Anthony, etc.

The Rocco Fanelli associated with Capone (and the St. Valentine's Day Massacre) may or may not have been the Rocco who was my aunt's father-in-law and who died in 1940.

At any rate, I have been completely stymied in finding my Fanelli family in the 1910 US Census. I by luck diod find them, with the surname utterly mangled, however, in the 1920 US Census.

Sure hope that some of you researching Chicago's other Fanelli families can give me some help.
