Rosemary Eliason, 84,
of 2684 Sunnyside Rd., Findley Lake, New York,
passed away Saturday, January 15, 2011, at her home She was born on May 17, 1926 in French Creek, New York, the daughter of the late Thomas and Zola (Chaffee) Williams. After high school she was employed at Corry Jamestown as a secretary for 10 years. Her greatest joy was her family as a mother and grandmother. She volunteered with the Girl Scouts for many years as the Cookie Chairman. She enjoyed knitting, working outdoors, and being with family. Rosemary is survived by two sons, William Eliason, Glendale, Arizona and David (Christina) Eliason, Findley Lake, N.Y.; two daughters, Sally Landis, Findley Lake, N.Y. and Nancy Palpant, Elburn, Ill.; ten grandchildren, Jessica Eliason, Glendale, Ariz., Isaac, Buena Vista, Colo., Leiza, Perren, Keara & Andre Palpant, Elburn, Ill., Christopher Landis, San Diego Calif., Shane, Ryan & Holly Eliason, Findley Lake, N.Y.; and a brother, Ralph Williams, French Creek, N.Y. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward A. Eliason, October 30, 2003;
and two sisters, Dorothy Smith and Gertrude Holmes. The family will receive friends at Spitzer Funeral Home, Sherman on Tuesday, January 18, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., and for one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at Spitzer Funeral Home, Sherman, with Rev. James Pegan officiating. Interment will be at Mina Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Findley Lake Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 158, Findley Lake, NY 14736 or a charity of one's choice.
