Hi Gretchen. I believe we must be related since Joseph Andrew Ekstedt is also a great uncle of mine. My grandfather was Richard Ekstedt, son of Charles Oscar Ekstedt and they lived in the Bremerton area. I know this thread is old, but hopefully you will see this and respond.
