Wow! You have been busy! I see on ancestry that you have put out about 20-30 messages......
I only got involved with the Ehrgood (spell it any way you wish) family a couple of weeks ago. I am seeking detils of Catharina Mohr, who was born in Erbach, Odenwald, Germany in 1717 and who married Christian Ehrgood around 1737. Christian was born 1712 in Berne Switzerland and his family was from Austria. They were important in Austria and I have been sent history of that family back to the 1500's. There is a big stone in the cemetery in Salzberg Austria honoring the family and there is an Ergott Street there, too. Christian was living in Contwig, Germany, just 5.5 miles east of Zweibrucken, when he married my Catharine. They sailed to Philadelphia aboard the "Friendship", arriving there in September 1739, and lived in Berks County, Robeson Township. They had one girl and four boys, Bernard, Jacob, Christian Jr. and Sebastian. Christian's father was Johan Ulrich and hs grandfather was Benedict. Johan Ulrich had a brother, Melchior Ehrgott. Any of this sound like it could be yours?? Jerry D. Moore
Newberg! I have one friend who lived there until recently and one friend who still lives there! I'm in Marin County CA
