I'm looking for the death date of George Dyce (b. 20 Jan 1833 Fordie, parish of Kincardine O’Neil, Arberdeenshire, Scotland). I believe he died betweeen 1865 and 1867 in Egremont Township, Grey County, Ontario. He was a son of James and Elspet (Ross) Dyce. He married Jane (or Jean) Henderson (b. 1832 Banffshire [per her obit]; d. 5 Oct 1901, age 69, Yeovil, Egremont Twp., Grey Co., ON). I don't have their marriage date so I don't know if they married in Scotland or Canada, although I suspect they married in Waterloo County, Ontario. George came with his family to Canada in about 1855.

In Canada, George first lived near Winterbourne, in Woolwich Twp., Waterloo Co. He and Jane moved to Egremont Twp., Grey Co. after the 1861 census, residing on Con. 11 Lot 27 of Egremont Twp. according to the 1865 Grey County Directory. Jane's death notice indicates she was buried at Winterbourne, ON, so I've suspected George may be there also. I don't know what cemetery.
1. Elizabeth Dyce (b. in ON; age 14 in 1871/24 in 1881).
2. Isabella (Belle) Dyce (b. in ON; age 10 in 1871/20 in 1881).
3. John (Jack) Dyce (b. in ON; age 10 in 1871/20 in 1881). Probably was living in Egremont Twp., 1889.
4. Elsbeth (Elsie) Dyce (b. 1864)

I'd love to learn more about this family as well as the precise death date of George. Anyone know what happened to Elizabeth, Isabella, John/Jack, and Elsbeth? The confusing matter is that they had first cousins who also had these names.

BTW, George was a brother of my great-great-grandfather Charles Dyce.

Best wishes,
