Looking for info on the Dwyer family from Endevour District, parish of Manchester on the island of Jamaica in the West Indies.
Specifically on Dennis Dwyer reputed to be an Irish emigrant.
Jamaica Almanc of 1811 lists Dennis Dwyer owning 517 acres at Endevour. I believe Dennis is the father of Richard Dwyer (also refered to as "Pa", my greatgrandfather)who might have been born around 1837.
One of Richard Dwyer's children, also called Richard Dwyer (and known as "Uncle Dicky" so as not to be confused with his father) was born around 1880's. He was a farmer and a farmer, carpenter, and blacksmith.
Richard Dwyer (Uncle Dicky) married Clementina Robinson (Aunty Bunchie) and had six children
Amy, Douglas, George, Reginald, Phyllis (my mother) and Victor her twin.
any info would be greatly appreciated.
