A Ralph Walter Doubet was born on Jan 22, 1882 in Limestone Twp, Peoria Co., Il. His parents were Ida E. Christing Dorenbus and Francois Joseph Doubet, Jr. Last name search shows Dorenbus as being Irish; However it origins are from east of the Rhine (Germany). She was Black Irish or Black-Arabian (Middle East). Francois and Aleonor met Mary Ann and Harriet Slane near Canton, Ohio on a trip to see their uncle Jean Claude Doubet of Frenchtown, PA. Mary Ann and Harriet Slane were the Great-Granddaughter's of General Marquis de Layafette. Their Greatgrandmother was Jemima Menthorne. Their mother was Mahala (Lafollette) Lafayette. Harriet and Mary Ann were Creole. Aleonor Doubet moved to Nebraska Terriotory about 1850 until Quantrell raided Independance, Mo. His family moved to the West coast. Claude's (Ralph's great-uncle) son Joseph Francis was 18 in 1862. The Pinkerton's were neighbor's of the Doubet's. Allen Pinkerton was a military attache to Abraham Lincoln. Frank and Jesse James came to Farmington, Il. in 1868 looking for Allen Pinkerton. They ran into Sylvester Doubet (Joseph's brother); he was 21 years old. Joseph's daughter Mable Cora (born 1888) was 13 when they reinacted Custer's Last Stand. She married a man from South Dakota and was supposedly buried in Wyoming. They have exhumed a body of a woman wearing the clothes of Belle Star. The History channel showed a pitchure of Belle Star as a teenager. I am Francois Joseph Doubet, III's great-greatgrandson.
