Looking to trace descendants of the Donaghy family of the townland Reclain. My 2nd great grandfather, Bernard Donaghy (1844-1879) was from Reclain, and according to his marriage record of 1874, his father's name was Bernard Donaghy Sr.

Bernard (1844) appparently had two brothers we know of, Owen and Francis Donaghy.

Bernard married Susan O'Neill (1853-1918) of Clonavaddy townland in 1874. Her father was Cornelius "Neil" O'Neill. They had four known children, two of whom lived to adulthood:

Rose Anna Donaghy (1874 – 1963)
Catherine Donaghy (1874 – died young)
Mary Josephine Donaghy (1876 – 1957)
Patrick Donaghy (1878 –died young)

The 1901 and 1911 Irish census for Reclain shows Owen Donaghy (abt 1845) and Francis Donaghy (abt 1844)as living with their respective families.

Marriage records of Owen and Francis indicate that their father was Bernard Donaghy.

Owen married Anne Quinn, daughter of Terence Quinn of Shanmaghry, Pomeroy Parish in 1973. {He was Eugene in the records}

They had four children:
Rose A Donaghy (1877 –)
Mary Donaghy (1879 – )
John Donaghy (1881 – )

Owen was a widower by the time of the 1901 census.

Francis married another Anne Quinn in 1874. She was from Killyharry, her father was Francis Quinn.

The couple had four known children:
Francis Donaghy, Jr (1880 – )
Mary Donaghy (1882 – )
James Donaghy (1888 – )
Margaret "Maggie" Donaghy (1891 – )

The four children and Francis and Anne Donaghy appear in the 1911 Irish census.
