I have some confusion in my family tree that I'm hoping someone here might br able to help me clear up. Most of this info came from the old DODGE genealogy of Essex, MA book. While it is a great piece of work that must have taken years to achieve, I feel there are probably some mistakes as usually happens over time when one takes on such a huge task.
Supposedly, my 4th grt. grandmother Hannah Dodge, Supposed daughter of Luke & Hannah, married John BREWER.

According to Hannah's death record however, it says the following:
Hannah (Dodge) wife of John BREWER daughter of EZEKIEL Dodge and Mary HOWARD, all of Ipswich, MA. Hannah died of liver disease and stomach troubles of a duration of 6 weeks on Dec. 4, 1760 at age 76 yrs. 6 mo. 12 days old.

On Find A Grave, Ezekiel and Mary's gravestones list what looks like all of their kids, but no Hannah is mentioned.
On pg. 107 of the Dodge gen. under Ezekiel (Paul, Richard, Richard, Richard1) and Mary *Howard) DODGE, there is no mention of a daughter "Hannah".

Again on pg. 107 DODGE genealogy lists the following info: under this same entry.
Ezekiel Dodge b. Ipswich, June 15, 1737 d. Nov. 1775. He married Anna MANNING, who was appointed the admin. of his estate on Dec. 4, 1775 and that on Sept. 6, 1779 she was made guardian of Ezekiel who was age 15 yrs. No other children are mentioned in the probate records, so how do we know Who that Ezekiel was? And why would his own mother have to be pointed guardian over him if she were his natural birth mother?
Children are listed for Ezekiel & Anna as follows:
Anna bapt. 1761
Sarah 1762
Ezekiel b. 1764/65 d. July 17, 1826 at age 61 yrs. who married Mary HOWARD in Ipswich on Jan. 3, 1784.
Josiah b.
and Lois Dodge b.

LUKE DODGE on pg. 105 same book says:
Luke b. Hamilton Aug. 1783 d. Hamilton, March 15, 1827 age 93 yrs.
married Hannah WHITTREDGE of Salem, MA on Dec. 6, 1760. Now, I ask you, how can a man marry a woman about 20 years earlier than he was born?
I may have copied this date wrong, it was late when I did this, but this seems odd.
It says Hannah Whittredge DODGE died Nov. 29, 1806.
Children listed are:
Thomas, Livermore, Hannah who married John Brewer it says no dates
Andrew who married Elizabeth "Betsey" DANE
and Betsey (Elizabeth) DODGE b. Feb. 27, 1764 m. a cousin Daniel DODGE (see entry 494 it says).

I found it interesting to note that non of the sons of Luke and Hannah named any of their daughters that were listed "Hannah", for their mother or sister.
This is all very confusing to me, if anyone has come across further info about Luke and Hannah's daughter Hannah Dodge BREWER I would be most grateful. I think I have totally confused myself now.
